best shot monday… something that spoke to me…

i’m always looking for words in the world around me. they surround me, but the ones i love most are the ones that make me think, that serve as a reminder of someway to get more out of life.

seventies bridge

vintage-bridge

miss b suggested this action from here to go with my cravings for vintage feeling photos… of course, i’m going to listen to her (check out her beautiful vintage-y photos.) on this photo i used seventies from set 2. i love it.

also, posted this photo to share for best shot monday. i’m putting this photo out there to remind me that i want to walk across this bridge soon. isn’t it beautiful? i used to ride across it on the subway everyday… and i loved how the sunrise looked across brooklyn… i almost felt like i was in a foreign land. i could actually convince myself of it, through my early morning sleepiness.

sunflowers and cement

sunflowers

this photo of sunflowers is the photo i choose for best shot monday. i may have better shots for it, but i opened my folder of photos from yesterday’s photo walk, and this is the one i loved the best.

the trick

seth skatingwhen seth has his skateboard out, he’s often doing some sort of trick… nothing too crazy, maybe a board flip or twist. (i know they have official skateboard names, but of course, i don’t know them.) more often then not, other skaters we see are young kids, and recently someone told seth he was too old to skateboard. but here he is… doing his skater-thing. i don’t think he looks too old to skateboard, do you?

photo posted for best shot monday. o and look in the background, do you spy the empire state building? it’s made it into a lot of my recent photos.
